THE BRAND
SINCE 2012
When a former antique dealer, passionate about vintage and pop culture, discovers Tangier, it’s love at first sight. In 2012, Virginie Hutin settled in Tangier and launched the brand Rock da Kasbah, inspired by the Clash’s song “Rock the Kasbah,” reinterpreted as “Rock el Kasbah” by Rachid Taha.
Today, with a beautiful, easy-wear collection that is cheerful, comfortable, and unconventional, it is the most Tangier-centric of Moroccan brands.

A SPIRIT
“DIMA MAGHRIB”
From this Moroccan daily newspaper first emerged the famous “Petit Taxi” and “Grand Taxi” visuals, followed by a long series of graphics that still pay tribute to the youth, vitality, and creativity of Morocco (Dima Maghrib, “Morocco for ever”).
Season after season, new images enrich the collections, some of which have become iconic since His Majesty King Mohammed VI wore the “Grand Taxi Marrakech” t-shirt.

CREATIONS
100% MOROCCO
The creation, design, and production take place within the “Le 49” workshop, located on Rue de la Kasbah in Tangier, a choice made by its director, Virginie: “We feel good here; it’s where ideas take shape. It’s a place that inspires us, a space conducive to meetings and exchanges”
The manufacturing process is therefore entirely artisanal, 100% Tangier-based, and transparent regarding its production conditions. Premium quality and the local sourcing of raw materials are also essential and constant concerns for the brand.
